چکیده

In order to solve the problem of serious deformation and failure surrounding rock difficult maintenance gob-side entries with strong mining-induced small coal pillars, taking A110607 return airway Shanwenjiaba Coal Mine as engineering background, key parameters roof-cutting pressure relief control technology for roadway excavation pillars were studied by using two-way concentrated blasting technology, combined theoretical analysis, numerical simulation a field industrial test. A collaborative scheme “roof-cutting + anchor cable support” is proposed. The test results show that when height 8 m, angle 15°, width pillar 3 effect best. Through test, it was determined blast hole spacing 800 mm, 321 charge structure used in intact roof, 221 or 211 structures broken roof geological zones. During driving mining period, floor movement section reduced about 38% compared uncut section, two sides 44% section. It shows has good on mining.

Instability leading to coal bumps and nonlinear evolutionary mechanisms for a coal-pillar-and-roof system

This paper studies the unstable mechanisms of the mechanical system that is composed of the stiff hosts (roof and floor) and the coal pillar using catastrophe theory. It is assumed that the roof is an elastic beam and the coal pillar is a strain-softening medium which can be described by the Weibull s distribution theory of strength. It is found that the instability leading to coal bump depends...

A Fiber Bragg Grating-Based Monitoring System for Roof Safety Control in Underground Coal Mining

Monitoring of roof activity is a primary measure adopted in the prevention of roof collapse accidents and functions to optimize and support the design of roadways in underground coalmines. However, traditional monitoring measures, such as using mechanical extensometers or electronic gauges, either require arduous underground labor or cannot function properly in the harsh underground environment...

Comparing the “Modified Split and Fender” and “Shortwall” Methods for the Pillar Recovery in Room and Pillar Coal Mining Using A 3D Finite Difference Modeling in Tabas Central Coal Mine, Iran

Selecting a suitable pillar recovery method is one of the most important issues in the room and pillar mining. The main purpose of this study is to compare two methods for pillar recovery in Tabas central coal mine (TCM). Among the existing methods, the two methods, “Modified split and fender” and “Shortwall” are chosen for the numerical modeling. The three dimensional finite difference method ...

Extension of Excavation Damaged Zone Due to Longwall Working Effect

In advance longwall mining, the safety of mine network, production rate, and consequently, economic conditions of a mine are dependent on the stability conditions of gate roadways. The gate roadway stability is a function of two important factors: 1) characteristics of the excavation damaged zone (EDZ) above the gate roadway and 2) loading effect due to the caving zone (CZ) above the longwall w...
